Abstract
This project examines the environmental impacts of different levels of water usage and various water conservation practices. It analyzes the current per capita water usage in our community and identifies opportunities to reduce usage through practices like fixing leaks, installing low-flow fixtures, using greywater for irrigation, and adopting xeriscaping. Through water usage data collection and analysis of conservation best practices, the project evaluates the potential environmental benefits of reduced usage, including decreased energy demands, lower greenhouse gas emissions, reduced water treatment needs, and lessened stress on local water resources. The findings aim to raise awareness of how individual and community water conservation efforts can help protect the environment.
