Abstract

This project examines the various environmental impacts associated with different transportation and logistics practices. It analyzes and compares the impacts of different modes of transportation like trucking, rail, air, and marine shipping. Impacts considered include greenhouse gas emissions, air and noise pollution, land and habitat impacts, resource and material usage, waste generation, and more. Specific logistics practices are also evaluated such as just-in-time delivery, inventory management, transportation optimization, and supply chain coordination. The goal is to identify practices that minimize environmental footprints and support more sustainable transportation and distribution systems.
