This project examines the various environmental impacts associated with different real estate and property management practices. It explores how practices like construction, renovation, maintenance, operations, and demolition can affect factors such as energy and water usage, waste generation, emissions, habitat loss, and stormwater runoff. By analyzing the lifecycle impacts of common practices in areas like single-family homes, multi-family units, commercial buildings and developments, the research aims to identify more sustainable alternatives. The goal is to raise awareness of how property-related decisions can support or undermine local environmental health and climate change mitigation efforts.
