Abstract
This study examines the environmental impacts of consumer products and packaging over their full lifecycles from raw material extraction and production through use and disposal. Key impacts that are analyzed include resource depletion, greenhouse gas emissions, water and air pollution, waste generation, and effects on biodiversity. Case studies of selected product categories are used to illustrate how design, materials selection, manufacturing processes, distribution methods, and end-of-life management influence a product's environmental footprint. The goal of the research is to raise awareness of how everyday consumer choices and habits impact the environment and to identify opportunities for businesses and consumers to reduce these impacts through sustainable product design, responsible consumption, and effective waste management.
