Thesis Abstract

Abstract

The current linear "take, make, dispose" model of production and consumption is unsustainable and results in high levels of waste. This project proposes transitioning to a circular economy model as a way to reduce waste and promote more sustainable resource use. A circular economy is based on the principles of designing out waste and pollution, keeping products and materials in use, and regenerating natural systems. This project will examine strategies for businesses, governments and individuals to transition to a circular model. It will analyze case studies of companies that have implemented circular practices. The goal is to demonstrate how a circular economy can help achieve a more sustainable and waste-free future.
