Thesis Abstract



Abstract

Green building aims to reduce the negative environmental impact of buildings through efficient use of resources and conservation of energy during construction and operation. This project examines the use of green building materials and sustainable construction techniques to minimize environmental footprint. It analyzes various green materials like recycled content, rapidly renewable and certified wood that can substitute conventional materials. Energy and water efficiency measures during construction as well as operation through design, insulation and renewable energy integration are also discussed. The environmental, economic and social benefits of green buildings are highlighted.
