Thesis Abstract
Abstract
Industrial accidents pose a significant risk to workers and can have serious consequences for companies. In an effort to improve safety measures and reduce the occurrence of accidents in industrial settings, the use of accident sensors has gained attention as a potential solution. This research project aims to investigate the suitability of accident sensors in the control of industrial accidents. The study will focus on assessing the effectiveness of accident sensors in detecting and preventing accidents in various industrial environments. Different types of accident sensors will be evaluated for their sensitivity, accuracy, and reliability in identifying potential hazards and triggering appropriate responses to prevent accidents. Furthermore, the research will explore the integration of accident sensors with existing safety systems in industrial settings. This will involve studying the compatibility of accident sensors with other safety measures such as emergency shutdown systems, alarm systems, and personal protective equipment. The goal is to determine how accident sensors can complement and enhance the overall safety framework in industrial facilities. In addition, the project will investigate the feasibility of real-time monitoring and data analysis using accident sensors. By collecting and analyzing data on accident trends, patterns, and contributing factors, companies can gain valuable insights to proactively address safety risks and improve their safety protocols. The research will examine the capabilities of accident sensors in providing real-time data and analytics to support decision-making for accident prevention strategies. The research methodology will involve a combination of literature review, case studies, and field experiments to gather data and insights on the effectiveness of accident sensors in industrial accident control. Data analysis techniques such as statistical analysis and qualitative coding will be employed to evaluate the findings and draw conclusions on the suitability of accident sensors in enhancing safety practices in industrial settings. Overall, this research project aims to contribute to the understanding of the role of accident sensors in the control of industrial accidents. By investigating the effectiveness, integration, and feasibility of accident sensors, the study seeks to provide valuable recommendations for companies looking to enhance their safety measures and reduce the risk of industrial accidents in the workplace.

INTRODUCTION

The main aim of the project Accident Detection and Messaging System is to inform the Ambulance and Police of the accident site and arrange for necessary steps to control the situation. This system is not only efficient but also worthy to be implemented. . The Accident Detection and Messaging System can be fitted in the vehicle (Ambulance or the Police) and they are informed about any such untoward incident at the go.

Accident Detection and Messaging System execution is simple as the system makes use of GSMand GPS technologies. GPS is used for taking the coordinates of the site of the accident while GSM is used for sending the coordinates to cell phones. To make this process all the controls are made using Arduino whereas a LCD is used to display the coordinates.
