Abstract
This project will develop a screening and evaluation process for identifying and assessing potential small business acquisition targets. Chapter 1 will provide an introduction and overview of the project, including the background and importance of developing a systematic acquisition process. Chapter 2 will review relevant literature on small business acquisitions and due diligence best practices. Chapter 3 will outline the key criteria and factors to consider when initially screening potential acquisition targets. Chapter 4 will detail the steps in a comprehensive evaluation and due diligence process for vetting shortlisted targets. Chapter 5 will propose templates and tools that can be used to systematically document screening results and due diligence findings. The goal of this project is to create a repeatable framework to efficiently identify and thoroughly evaluate small business acquisition opportunities.
