This thesis explores the relationship between foreign direct investment (FDI) and economic growth in developing countries. The study focuses on investigating the impact of FDI on the economic growth of these nations, with a particular emphasis on understanding the mechanisms through which FDI can contribute to economic development. The research adopts a case study approach to analyze the experiences of selected developing countries in attracting and utilizing FDI to drive their economic growth. The first part of the study involves an in-depth review of existing literature on FDI and economic growth. The analysis highlights the theoretical frameworks and empirical evidence that underpin the relationship between FDI and economic development. By examining a wide range of perspectives and findings from previous studies, this review sets the stage for the empirical investigation that follows. The empirical section of the study employs a mixed-methods approach to gather and analyze data from developing countries that have experienced significant FDI inflows.
