The integration of digital tools into undergraduate economics education has become increasingly critical in response to the rapid technological advancements and the evolving demands of the modern economy. Despite the proliferation of online platforms, simulation software, and data analysis applications, the effective adoption and systematic integration of these digital resources into the existing curriculum remain limited, often constrained by lack of a structured framework. This study aims to develop a comprehensive framework for integrating digital tools into undergraduate economics courses to enhance pedagogical effectiveness and student learning outcomes. Specific objectives include identifying the key digital tools currently used in economics education, assessing the perceptions and readiness of instructors and students towards their integration, and formulating a practical, adaptable framework grounded in relevant educational theories. The research adopts a mixed-methods design, combining qualitative and quantitative approaches. The quantitative component involves the administration of a structured questionnaire to a sample of 250 undergraduate economics students and 50 instructors across five universities, selected through stratified random sampling to ensure representation of diverse academic levels and institutional types. The qualitative component comprises semi-structured interviews with 15 faculty members and focus group discussions with 30 students, aimed at exploring experiential insights and contextual challenges related to digital tools. Data collection instruments include validated questionnaires measuring attitudes, competency levels, and perceived barriers, alongside interview guides aligned with the research objectives. The validity and reliability of the instruments are established through expert review, pilot testing, and the calculation of Cronbach’s alpha coefficients exceeding 0.85 for quantitative measures.
