Abstract
Telemedicine has emerged as a promising tool in delivering healthcare services remotely, especially in the field of pediatric care. This thesis investigates the efficacy and patient satisfaction of utilizing telemedicine for remote pediatric care. The study aims to explore the benefits, challenges, and outcomes associated with implementing telemedicine in pediatric healthcare settings. The research methodology employed a mixed-methods approach, incorporating both quantitative and qualitative data collection methods. A comprehensive literature review was conducted to understand the current landscape of telemedicine in pediatric care and to identify gaps in existing research. Data was collected through surveys, interviews, and observational studies involving pediatric patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers. The findings of this study reveal that telemedicine offers numerous advantages in pediatric care, including improved access to specialized care, reduced travel time and costs, and enhanced communication between patients and healthcare providers. However, challenges such as technical issues, privacy concerns, and limitations in physical examinations were also identified. Patient satisfaction with telemedicine services was generally high, with convenience, time-saving, and reduced waiting times being cited as key factors.
