Abstract
Virtual reality therapy (VRT) has emerged as a promising intervention for managing pain and anxiety in pediatric patients. This thesis investigates the effectiveness of VRT in alleviating pain and anxiety among children in clinical settings. The study aims to provide valuable insights into the potential benefits of utilizing VRT as a non-pharmacological approach to enhance pediatric care outcomes. The research begins with a comprehensive review of the literature on the use of VRT in pediatric healthcare. This review highlights the theoretical framework supporting the efficacy of VRT in pain and anxiety management, as well as the existing evidence of its application in pediatric populations. Methodologically, this study adopts a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative surveys and qualitative interviews to gather data on the experiences and outcomes of pediatric patients undergoing VRT interventions. The research methodology section provides a detailed explanation of the study design, participant recruitment, data collection procedures, and analysis techniques employed to evaluate the effectiveness of VRT. Findings from the study reveal the positive impact of VRT on reducing pain and anxiety levels in pediatric patients. The discussion section explores the implications of these findings for pediatric healthcare practice, emphasizing the potential of VRT as a complementary therapy to traditional pharmacological interventions.
