Abstract
This thesis investigates the effectiveness of telehealth in managing chronic illnesses among elderly patients. The aging population is increasing globally, leading to a rise in chronic health conditions that require ongoing management. Telehealth, the use of technology to deliver healthcare remotely, has emerged as a potential solution to improve access to care for elderly individuals with chronic illnesses. This study aims to explore the impact of telehealth interventions on the management of chronic illnesses and the overall well-being of elderly patients. The research begins with a comprehensive review of existing literature on telehealth and its applications in managing chronic illnesses among the elderly. The review covers various aspects such as the benefits, challenges, and outcomes associated with telehealth interventions in this specific population. Methodology The research methodology employed in this study includes a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative data analysis and qualitative insights from interviews with healthcare providers and elderly patients who have used telehealth services. The study population includes elderly individuals diagnosed with chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and heart disease. Findings The findings of this study highlight the positive impact of telehealth interventions on the management of chronic illnesses among elderly patients.
