Abstract
This thesis presents a comparative study investigating the impact of telehealth on patient outcomes in chronic disease management. With the increasing prevalence of chronic diseases globally and the growing utilization of telehealth services, understanding the effectiveness of telehealth in managing chronic conditions is crucial. The study aims to compare the outcomes of patients with chronic diseases who received care through telehealth interventions with those who received traditional in-person care. The research design involves a mixed-method approach, incorporating both quantitative and qualitative methods to provide a comprehensive analysis of the impact of telehealth on patient outcomes. A sample of patients with various chronic diseases will be recruited from healthcare facilities offering telehealth services and traditional care. Data collection will involve patient surveys, medical records review, and interviews with healthcare providers to gather insights into the effectiveness of telehealth interventions. The literature review section examines existing research on telehealth in chronic disease management, exploring the benefits, challenges, and outcomes associated with telehealth interventions. The review highlights the potential of telehealth to improve access to care, enhance patient engagement, and optimize disease management strategies. The methodology section outlines the research design, sampling strategy, data collection methods, and data analysis techniques employed in the study.
