Abstract
Pain management in pediatric patients is a critical aspect of nursing care, particularly considering the challenges and complexities involved in treating young individuals. This thesis explores the impact of virtual reality (VR) technology on pain management in pediatric patients from a nursing perspective. The study aims to investigate how VR technology can enhance pain management strategies, improve patient outcomes, and optimize the overall care experience for pediatric patients undergoing medical procedures. The introduction provides a comprehensive overview of the background, problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, and structure of the thesis. It also defines key terms relevant to the study, setting the foundation for the subsequent chapters. The literature review in Chapter Two synthesizes existing research on the use of VR technology in pediatric pain management.
