Abstract
The utilization of telehealth services in healthcare has gained significant attention in recent years, particularly in the management of chronic diseases among older adults. This thesis explores the impact of telehealth services on chronic disease management in older adults, focusing on its effectiveness, challenges, and implications for healthcare delivery. The study aims to investigate how telehealth interventions can improve the quality of care and outcomes for older adults with chronic conditions, such as diabetes, hypertension, and heart disease. The research begins with a comprehensive review of the existing literature on telehealth services and chronic disease management in older adults. This review highlights the potential benefits of telehealth, including increased access to care, improved self-management, and enhanced communication between patients and healthcare providers. It also addresses the challenges and limitations associated with implementing telehealth programs in this population, such as technological barriers, privacy concerns, and the need for adequate training and support. The methodology chapter outlines the research design, data collection methods, and analysis techniques employed in this study. A mixed-methods approach will be utilized, combining quantitative surveys to assess patient outcomes and satisfaction with qualitative interviews to explore the experiences and perspectives of older adults, healthcare providers, and administrators involved in telehealth programs. The study sample will include older adults receiving telehealth services for chronic disease management, as well as healthcare professionals working in telehealth settings.
