Thesis Abstract

This research project aims to investigate the relationship between oral health and osteoporosis, a systemic skeletal disorder characterized by reduced bone density and increased fracture risk. Osteoporosis has been associated with various oral manifestations, including tooth loss, periodontal disease, and altered bone metabolism in the jaw. This study will explore the potential mechanisms linking osteoporosis and oral health, as well as the implications for dental management and treatment outcomes. By elucidating the interplay between systemic bone health and oral conditions, the project seeks to contribute to a better understanding of comprehensive care strategies for patients with osteoporosis, with a focus on oral health maintenance, preventive measures, and interdisciplinary collaboration between dental and medical professionals.
