The relationship between oral health and eating disorders

Thesis Abstract

This study aims to investigate the complex relationship between oral health and eating disorders, such as anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, and binge-eating disorder. Through a comprehensive literature review and analysis, the project will explore the oral manifestations of eating disorders, the impact of disordered eating behaviors on dental health, and the role of oral health professionals in the identification and management of eating disorders. The findings will contribute to a better understanding of the oral health implications of eating disorders and inform the development of targeted interventions for affected individuals.
