Thesis Abstract

This research project aims to investigate the relationship between oral health and autoimmune diseases. Autoimmune diseases are a group of disorders characterized by an abnormal immune response against the body's own tissues, leading to systemic inflammation and tissue damage. The oral cavity is often affected by autoimmune diseases, leading to various oral manifestations and complications. This study will explore the potential mechanisms underlying the association between autoimmune diseases and oral health, as well as the implications for dental management and treatment. By gaining a better understanding of this relationship, the project seeks to contribute to the development of comprehensive care strategies for patients with autoimmune diseases, with a focus on oral health maintenance and disease prevention.
