Thesis Abstract
This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of different types of mouthwash in maintaining oral hygiene and preventing oral diseases. Mouthwashes are commonly used as adjuncts to mechanical oral hygiene practices, but there is a lack of consensus on their clinical efficacy. This research will involve a systematic review and meta-analysis of clinical trials comparing various types of mouthwashes, including antibacterial, fluoride, and herbal formulations, in terms of their effects on plaque control, gingivitis, and halitosis. The findings of this study could provide evidence-based recommendations for the use of mouthwashes in oral care.
