Dental caries is a prevalent chronic infectious disease that affects individuals of all age groups, with pediatric patients being particularly vulnerable. Silver diamine fluoride (SDF) has emerged as a promising agent for arresting dental caries in pediatric patients due to its antimicrobial and remineralization properties. This thesis aims to assess the efficacy of SDF in arresting dental caries in pediatric patients through a comprehensive investigation. Chapter one provides the introduction to the study, presenting the background of the research, the problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, structure of the thesis, and definition of terms. The literature review in chapter two critically examines existing research on SDF and its efficacy in managing dental caries in pediatric patients, highlighting key findings and gaps in knowledge. Chapter three outlines the research methodology employed in this study, including the research design, participant selection criteria, data collection methods, and statistical analysis techniques.
