Laser therapy has emerged as a promising alternative or adjunct to conventional periodontal treatments due to its potential for precision, minimally invasive nature, and reduced postoperative discomfort. The study begins with an in-depth review of the existing literature on periodontal disease, its etiology, pathogenesis, and current treatment modalities. The literature review highlights the growing body of evidence supporting the use of laser therapy in the management of periodontal disease, emphasizing its benefits in terms of bacterial reduction, tissue healing, and patient comfort. The research methodology section outlines the design of a prospective clinical study to assess the efficacy of laser therapy in a sample of patients with periodontal disease.
