Climate change poses significant challenges to global food security, necessitating the development of resilient crop varieties capable of withstanding changing environmental conditions. Genomic selection, a cutting-edge breeding approach, offers the potential to accelerate the development of climate-resilient crops by leveraging genomic information to predict the performance of breeding lines. This project aims to explore the application of genomic selection in enhancing crop adaptation to climate change, with a focus on identifying genetic markers associated with key adaptive traits. Through a combination of genomic analyses, field trials, and computational modeling, this research seeks to elucidate the underlying genetic architecture of climate resilience in crops and develop genomic prediction models for targeted trait improvement.
