Police body-worn cameras (BWCs) have become a prominent tool in modern law enforcement, aimed at enhancing transparency, accountability, and public trust. This thesis explores the impact of police BWCs on public perceptions of law enforcement. The study investigates how the presence of BWCs influences public trust, confidence, and attitudes towards law enforcement officers. A comprehensive review of existing literature on BWCs, public perceptions, and police-community relations forms the foundation of this research. The research methodology involves a mixed-method approach, combining quantitative surveys and qualitative interviews to gather data from members of the public. The sample population will include individuals from diverse demographic backgrounds to ensure a broad representation of public opinions. The data analysis will be conducted using both statistical techniques and thematic coding to identify patterns and themes in the responses. The findings of this study aim to provide valuable insights into the effectiveness of BWCs in shaping public perceptions of law enforcement.
