The utilization of body-worn cameras (BWCs) by law enforcement agencies has garnered significant attention in recent years due to their potential to enhance police accountability and rebuild public trust. This thesis investigates the impact of BWCs on police accountability and public trust in law enforcement. Through a comprehensive review of existing literature, this study examines the theoretical frameworks and empirical evidence surrounding the adoption and implementation of BWCs in police departments. The research methodology employed in this study includes a mixed-methods approach, incorporating both quantitative analysis of BWC usage data and qualitative interviews with police officers and community members. The findings of this research reveal several key insights into the effects of BWCs on police behavior and community perceptions.
