Bribery and corruption have long been pervasive issues in Nigerian society, affecting various facets of life including politics, business, and public services. This research project aims to explore the detrimental effects of bribery and corruption on Nigeria's society. By examining the root causes, mechanisms, and consequences of bribery and corruption, the study seeks to shed light on the significant challenges these practices pose to the country's development and governance. Through a combination of literature review, case studies, and data analysis, the project delves into the ways in which bribery and corruption undermine the rule of law, erode public trust, and perpetuate inequality and social injustice. The research also investigates the role of institutions and individuals in perpetuating corrupt practices, highlighting the complex network of actors involved in bribery schemes and the systemic nature of corruption in Nigeria.
