The pervasive digital divide and low levels of computer literacy among university students in contemporary educational settings underscore a critical need for innovative instructional strategies that effectively foster computer skills. Despite the proliferation of online resources, traditional instructional methods often fall short in engaging learners and promoting sustained skill acquisition, necessitating the exploration of interactive and motivating learning environments. This study aims to develop, implement, and evaluate a gamified interactive learning platform designed to enhance computer literacy among undergraduate students. The specific objectives include assessing the effectiveness of gamification elements in improving learners’ computer skills, identifying motivational factors influencing engagement, and determining the impact of the platform on learners’ attitudes towards computer use. A quasi-experimental research design with a mixed-methods approach was employed. The quantitative component involved a pre-test/post-test control group design, while the qualitative component captured learners’ perceptions through semi-structured interviews. The target population comprised 200 undergraduate students enrolled in foundational computer courses at a public university. A stratified random sampling technique selected 120 participants, with 60 assigned to the experimental group using the gamified platform and 60 to the control group receiving traditional instruction. Data collection instruments included a validated Computer Literacy Skills Test (CLST), Likert-scale questionnaires measuring motivation, and interview guides to explore user experiences and perceptions.
