As urbanization continues to grow, the need for sustainable urban drainage systems becomes increasingly important to mitigate flood risks and protect water quality. This thesis aims to analyze and design sustainable urban drainage systems to address these challenges. The research begins with a comprehensive literature review in Chapter Two, examining existing studies and practices related to sustainable urban drainage systems. The review highlights various design approaches, technologies, and strategies used in different urban settings around the world. By synthesizing this information, the research provides a foundation for developing innovative solutions tailored to the specific needs of urban areas. Chapter Three focuses on the research methodology employed in this study. It outlines the data collection methods, analysis techniques, and modeling tools used to assess the performance of sustainable urban drainage systems. The chapter also discusses the criteria for selecting case study locations and the process for evaluating the effectiveness of different design interventions.
