This thesis aims to investigate and propose strategies for implementing sustainable supply chain management practices in small and medium enterprises (SMEs). The importance of sustainability in supply chain management has gained significant attention in recent years due to the growing awareness of environmental and social responsibilities. However, many SMEs face challenges in adopting and implementing sustainable practices in their supply chains. This study seeks to address this gap by exploring effective strategies that can be tailored to the unique needs and constraints of SMEs. The research begins with a comprehensive review of the literature on sustainable supply chain management, focusing on key concepts, theories, and best practices. The review highlights the benefits of integrating sustainability into supply chain operations, such as cost savings, enhanced reputation, and improved stakeholder relationships. It also identifies the barriers and challenges that SMEs encounter when attempting to implement sustainable practices in their supply chains. Building on the literature review, the research methodology section outlines the research design, data collection methods, and analysis techniques employed in this study. The data collection process includes interviews with supply chain managers and sustainability experts in SMEs, as well as a survey of SMEs to gather insights on their current practices and challenges related to sustainable supply chain management. The findings of this study reveal a range of strategies that SMEs can adopt to enhance sustainability in their supply chains. These strategies include developing partnerships with suppliers, investing in technology and innovation, implementing green procurement policies, and engaging with stakeholders to promote transparency and accountability.
