Sustainable supply chain management (SSCM) has gained significant attention in recent years as organizations strive to address environmental, social, and economic challenges in their operations. Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) play a crucial role in the global economy but face unique challenges in implementing sustainable practices due to resource constraints and limited capabilities. This thesis investigates the implementation of sustainable supply chain management practices in SMEs, focusing on strategies to enhance environmental performance, social responsibility, and economic viability. The research begins with an exploration of the theoretical foundations of sustainable supply chain management, highlighting key concepts and frameworks that underpin sustainable practices in SMEs. A comprehensive literature review examines existing knowledge on SSCM implementation in SMEs, identifying best practices, challenges, and opportunities for improvement. The study adopts a qualitative research approach to gather data from a sample of SMEs, using interviews, surveys, and document analysis to uncover insights into current practices and future aspirations.
