Thesis Abstract
The research
investigated how policy measures of Nigerian Ports Authority contribute to the
attainment of its corporate goals and objectives. The hypotheses were
formulated and tested at a 0.05 level of significance. A corporate policy and
organizational performance e questionnaire was designed and validated by the
researcher. It was structured and administered to 110 randomly at their
regional office. Survey findings revealed that, there is a varying degree of
effect between corporate policy and performance of Nigerian Ports Authority. Empirical
finding using the Pearson Product Moment Correlation co-efficient indicates
that there is no significant relationship between corporate policy and the
performance of Nigerian Ports Authority. consequents upon the above finding it
is recommended that corporate policy should taken into consideration of all
environmental factors affecting policies and strategies. Organizational goal
and objectives should be considered before formulating policies and corporate
policy issues must be identified and clarified.
