This study investigates strategies to optimize green building designs tailored specifically for urban hotels, aiming to contribute to sustainability objectives without compromising economic viability. The primary aim is to identify the key design features and policies that effectively balance environmental performance and operational costs, ultimately fostering sustainable development in the hospitality sector. To achieve this aim, the study is structured into specific objectives (1) to evaluate current green building practices adopted by urban hotels; (2) to identify barriers and facilitators influencing green building implementation; (3) to develop an integrative framework for optimizing green design features; and (4) to empirically assess the impact of optimized designs on energy efficiency, water conservation, and occupant satisfaction.
