Investigating the impact of plant-pollinator interactions on plant community composition

Thesis Abstract

This project aims to investigate the impact of plant-pollinator interactions on plant community composition. Pollinators, such as bees, butterflies, and birds, play a crucial role in plant reproduction by facilitating pollen transfer between flowers. However, the extent to which pollinator-mediated interactions influence plant community composition remains unclear. Through this study, we will examine how different pollinators and their visitation patterns affect the abundance, diversity, and distribution of plant species within a community. We will conduct field surveys and experimental manipulations to assess the role of pollinators in shaping plant community composition. The findings from this research will enhance our understanding of the ecological dynamics between pollinators and plants and may have implications for conservation and ecosystem management.
