Thesis Abstract

This project aims to investigate the impact of climate change on plant disease dynamics, focusing on selected plant-pathogen interactions. Climate change is expected to alter temperature and precipitation patterns, which can influence the occurrence, severity, and distribution of plant diseases. By analyzing historical climate data and disease incidence records, we will assess the relationship between climate variables and disease outbreaks. Additionally, we will conduct controlled experiments to examine the direct effects of altered temperature and moisture conditions on pathogen growth and plant susceptibility. The findings of this study will contribute to our understanding of the complex interactions between climate change and plant diseases, providing insights for disease management strategies in a changing climate
