This project aims to investigate the effects of different plant breeding techniques on crop nutritional content. Plant breeding plays a crucial role in improving crop yield and quality, but its impact on nutritional content is not well understood. This project will involve comparing the nutritional profiles of conventionally bred and genetically modified (GM) crop varieties through laboratory analysis. The nutritional content of key macronutrients, micronutrients, and bioactive compounds will be assessed. The findings will contribute to a better understanding of the nutritional implications of different plant breeding techniques and may have implications for crop improvement strategies aimed at enhancing food quality and nutrition.
