Thesis Abstract
This project aims to investigate the effects of different plant breeding techniques on the shelf life of crops. Shelf life is an important trait for agricultural crops, as it directly affects their post-harvest quality and marketability. Various breeding techniques, such as conventional breeding, genetic modification, and marker-assisted selection, have been used to improve crop traits, but their impact on shelf life remains unclear. In this study, we will compare the shelf life of crops derived from different breeding techniques and analyze the underlying genetic and physiological factors that contribute to shelf life.
