Thesis Abstract

This project aims to investigate the effects of different plant pathogens on plant physiology. Plant pathogens, such as fungi, bacteria, and viruses, can cause significant damage to crops and natural plant populations. Understanding how these pathogens affect plant physiology is crucial for developing effective disease management strategies. In this study, we will examine the physiological responses of plants to infection by different pathogens, including changes in photosynthesis, respiration, water relations, and nutrient uptake. By elucidating the underlying mechanisms of pathogen-induced physiological changes, we can gain insights into plant-pathogen interactions and potentially identify targets for disease control.
