This project aims to analyze the effects of different plant hormones on plant shoot architecture. Plant hormones play crucial roles in regulating various aspects of plant growth and development, including shoot branching, leaf morphology, and stem elongation. Understanding the specific effects of different plant hormones on shoot architecture is essential for manipulating plant form and optimizing crop productivity. In this study, we will conduct controlled experiments using selected plant species to investigate the effects of different plant hormones, such as auxins, cytokinins, gibberellins, and abscisic acid, on shoot branching patterns, leaf size and shape, and stem elongation. We will measure relevant morphological parameters and analyze gene expression patterns associated with shoot architecture regulation. The findings from this study will contribute to our understanding of hormone-mediated control of shoot architecture and provide insights into potential applications in crop improvement and horticultural practices.
