Abstract
Microfinance banks play a crucial role in providing financial services to low-income individuals and small businesses who have limited access to traditional banking. This research project aims to explore the problems and prospects of microfinance banks in enhancing financial inclusion and poverty alleviation. The study will investigate the major challenges faced by microfinance banks, including issues related to sustainability, governance, regulatory compliance, and risk management. The research will also examine the impact of external factors such as economic conditions, political stability, and technological advancements on the operations of microfinance banks. In addition to identifying the problems faced by microfinance banks, the research will also highlight the prospects and opportunities available to these institutions. This will include exploring potential strategies for improving the sustainability and outreach of microfinance banks, enhancing their governance structures, and leveraging technology to expand their services.
