Small-scale businesses play a crucial role in the economic development of any country, contributing significantly to employment generation and income distribution. However, accessing finance remains a challenge for many small businesses, particularly when it comes to obtaining loans from traditional banks. This research project aims to analyze the various ways in which banks can effectively finance small-scale business units to promote their growth and sustainability. The study will start by examining the current challenges faced by small businesses in securing financing from banks, including stringent collateral requirements, high interest rates, and lengthy approval processes. It will then explore alternative financing options such as microloans, peer-to-peer lending, and crowdfunding, assessing their effectiveness in meeting the financial needs of small businesses. Furthermore, the research will investigate the strategies that banks can adopt to better serve small-scale business clients. This includes developing specialized loan products tailored to the needs of small businesses, streamlining loan application processes, and providing financial literacy training to help entrepreneurs better manage their finances. The study will also analyze the impact of government policies and regulations on bank financing for small businesses. By examining case studies from different countries, the research aims to identify best practices that can be adopted to create a more conducive environment for banks to finance small-scale business units.
