The rapid advancement of digital media technologies has significantly transformed pedagogical approaches within art education, raising critical questions about their influence on students’ creative development. Despite widespread adoption, there remains limited empirical evidence on how digital media integration affects students’ creative skills, cognitive processes, and aesthetic judgment in art learning environments. This study aims to investigate the impact of digital media integration on students’ creative development in secondary school art classes, with specific objectives to assess the extent of digital media use, examine changes in creative skills, and explore students’ perceptions of digital tools in fostering creativity. The research employs a mixed-methods design, combining quantitative and qualitative strategies to provide a comprehensive understanding of the phenomenon. The population comprises 300 secondary school art students and their teachers from urban schools in the country, with stratified random sampling used to select a sample of 150 students and 10 art educators.
