Thesis Abstract

This research project aims to assess the impact of art education on students' ability to think critically about visual culture. It investigates how art education can develop students' skills in analyzing, interpreting, and evaluating visual images, media, and artifacts. The study will examine various pedagogical approaches, such as visual literacy instruction, art criticism, and media literacy, that have been used to enhance students' critical thinking about visual culture. By analyzing the impact of art education on students' critical thinking skills, this research seeks to provide insights into the importance of integrating art education into the curriculum to foster visual literacy and promote informed engagement with visual culture.
