Residential Architecture for Multi-Generational Living

Thesis Abstract

This project explores the design considerations and strategies for residential architecture that caters to multi-generational living. With changing demographics and evolving family structures, there is a growing need for homes that accommodate multiple generations under one roof while ensuring privacy, functionality, and social interaction. The project will analyze case studies of successful multi-generational housing designs, identify key design principles, and propose innovative solutions to address the unique needs of multi-generational households. The findings of this research will contribute to the development of guidelines for architects and urban planners in creating inclusive and adaptable residential spaces.
