Thesis Abstract

This research project aims to explore the impact of archaeological tourism on the conservation of underwater heritage. With the increasing popularity of scuba diving and underwater exploration, there is a growing interest in visiting and exploring underwater archaeological sites. However, the influx of tourists to these sites raises concerns about the potential damage to fragile underwater ecosystems and the preservation of submerged cultural artifacts. This study will examine the various challenges and opportunities associated with underwater archaeological tourism and propose strategies for sustainable management and conservation of underwater heritage sites.
