Thesis Abstract

This research project aims to explore the influence of genetics on the susceptibility to autoimmune skin disorders. Autoimmune skin disorders, such as psoriasis, vitiligo, and pemphigus vulgaris, are characterized by an abnormal immune response targeting the skin cells. While environmental factors play a role in triggering these disorders, there is growing evidence suggesting a strong genetic component. This study will investigate the specific genetic factors associated with susceptibility to autoimmune skin disorders, their mechanisms of action, and potential implications for diagnosis and treatment.
