This research project aims to investigate the detrimental effects of smoking on lung anatomy and function. Smoking is a prevalent habit worldwide, and its association with various health issues, particularly respiratory diseases, is well-established. The objective of this study is to comprehensively examine the impact of smoking on lung structure and function, including the histological changes in lung tissue, alterations in pulmonary function tests, and the development of smoking-related lung diseases. By understanding the specific mechanisms through which smoking affects the lungs, this research will contribute to raising awareness about the harmful consequences of smoking and provide valuable insights for public health interventions and smoking cessation programs.
