Thesis Abstract

Osteoporosis is a common bone disease characterized by low bone density and increased risk of fractures. It primarily affects older adults, particularly postmenopausal women. Exercise has been recognized as a key preventive measure against osteoporosis. This project aims to explore the role of exercise in preventing osteoporosis, including the specific types of exercises, duration, and intensity that are most effective. Additionally, the project will investigate the underlying mechanisms through which exercise promotes bone health and reduces the risk of osteoporosis. The findings of this study will contribute to the development of exercise recommendations for individuals at risk of osteoporosis and provide insights into the potential benefits of exercise in maintaining bone health.
