Thesis Abstract

Effective marketing strategies are crucial for the success of agribusinesses, as they play a vital role in connecting farmers with consumers and ensuring profitability. This project aims to investigate the impact of agricultural education on farmers' knowledge of agribusiness marketing, with a focus on enhancing their understanding of market dynamics, consumer behavior, and marketing techniques.
The project will employ a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative data analysis and qualitative research methods. Initially, a comprehensive literature review will be conducted to gather existing knowledge on agribusiness marketing, including studies on marketing strategies, market research, branding, and consumer behavior.
Quantitative data will be collected through surveys administered to farmers who have undergone agricultural education programs and those who have not. The surveys will assess farmers' knowledge of agribusiness marketing concepts, their understanding of market research techniques, their familiarity with branding strategies, and their awareness of consumer behavior trends.
Qualitative research methods, such as interviews and focus group discussions, will be conducted with a sample of farmers who have participated in agricultural education programs. These qualitative data will provide insights into the specific marketing knowledge and skills acquired through education, as well as the perceived impact of this knowledge on their marketing practices.
The collected data will be analyzed using appropriate statistical techniques and thematic analysis. The findings will be used to assess the impact of agricultural education on farmers' knowledge of agribusiness marketing and to identify areas where further education and training may be needed.
The expected outcomes of this project include a better understanding of the impact of agricultural education on farmers' knowledge of agribusiness marketing, insights into the specific marketing concepts and techniques that are most beneficial to farmers, and recommendations for improving agricultural education programs to enhance marketing skills among farmers. The findings will contribute to the development of evidence-based strategies to improve farmers' marketing capabilities and ultimately enhance the competitiveness and profitability of agribusinesses.
Keywords agricultural education, agribusiness marketing, market dynamics, consumer behavior, marketing techniques, quantitative analysis, qualitative research, recommendations.
