Thesis Abstract

The global agricultural trade landscape is constantly evolving, with increasing emphasis on sustainability and responsible practices. This project aims to assess the effectiveness of agricultural education in promoting sustainable agricultural trade policies. The study will examine the role of agricultural education in enhancing the understanding and implementation of sustainable trade practices, as well as its impact on the agricultural sector's economic, social, and environmental sustainability.
The project will employ a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative data analysis and qualitative research methods. Initially, a comprehensive literature review will be conducted to gather existing knowledge on sustainable agricultural trade policies, the role of agricultural education in trade, and the potential benefits and challenges associated with sustainable trade practices.
Quantitative data will be collected through surveys administered to agricultural educators, policymakers, and industry stakeholders involved in agricultural trade. The surveys will assess their knowledge and awareness of sustainable trade policies, their perceptions of the effectiveness of agricultural education in promoting sustainable practices, and the extent to which sustainable trade policies are implemented in their respective contexts.
Qualitative research methods, such as interviews and focus group discussions, will be conducted with a sample of agricultural educators, policymakers, and industry stakeholders. These qualitative data will provide insights into the barriers and facilitators of sustainable trade policy implementation, as well as the perceived effectiveness of agricultural education in promoting sustainable agricultural trade.
The collected data will be analyzed using appropriate statistical techniques and thematic analysis. The findings will be used to evaluate the effectiveness of agricultural education in promoting sustainable agricultural trade policies, identify gaps in knowledge and practice, and develop recommendations for enhancing agricultural education programs to better address the challenges and opportunities of sustainable trade.
The expected outcomes of this project include a better understanding of the role of agricultural education in promoting sustainable agricultural trade policies, insights into the challenges faced by policymakers and industry stakeholders in implementing sustainable trade practices, and recommendations for improving agricultural education programs to support sustainable trade in the agricultural sector.
