Thesis Abstract

This research project aims to investigate the role of agricultural education in promoting sustainable aquaculture practices. Aquaculture, or fish farming, is an important sector for meeting the growing global demand for seafood. However, unsustainable practices in aquaculture can lead to environmental degradation, disease outbreaks, and negative social impacts. Agricultural education plays a crucial role in equipping aquaculture farmers with the knowledge and skills to adopt sustainable practices that minimize environmental impacts and ensure long-term viability. This study will examine the effectiveness of agricultural education programs in promoting sustainable aquaculture practices, including water quality management, feed efficiency, disease prevention, and social responsibility. By conducting interviews, surveys, and analyzing case studies, this research will provide valuable insights into the impact of agricultural education on the sustainability of the aquaculture sector. The findings of this study will contribute to the development of educational strategies and policies that enhance the adoption of sustainable practices in aquaculture.
